Close of Season of Creation 2026 Webinar - 2 October 2026

We invite you to join us on 2 October 2026 at 11:00 AM SAST for a special webinar marking the Close of Season of Creation 2026, a time of prayer, reflection, learning and action for our common home.

This year’s theme, Immersion in Living Water, invites us to reflect on water as a source of life and on its deep connections to faith, climate and ecological justice.

As we bring this year’s Season of Creation to a close, the webinar will be an opportunity to reflect on the theme, hear from inspiring Faith Leaders and Green Champions across the SAFCEI network, and explore how we can strengthen ongoing action and collaboration for our common home.

The webinar will feature:

• Regional Faith Leaders and Green Champions sharing practical examples of local action, experiences, and lessons from across the SAFCEI network.
• Reflections on the recent landmark Constitutional Court case ruling, with Sustaining the Wild Coast, exploring the significance of the community’s legal victory in the Shell court case stopping oil and gas exploration, and its lessons for environmental and community justice in the region.
• News about plans along the West Coast of South Africa & Namibia, with the Green Connection, what it will mean for local communities and the environment, and what we can do.
