SAFCEI has sent its comments and recommendations to the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) NERSA regarding ESKOM’s Regulatory Clearing Account (RCA) application for the 2018/19 financial year.
In December, the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) announced its timelines to consider ESKOM’s RCA application.
Eskom is looking to recoup R27.3-billion to cover the under-recovery of its actual costs in 2018/19, meaning electricity tariffs may rise by 12-17% next year.
