SAFCEI is celebrating a year of Nuclear Vigils next week! (21 October 2015) The time has flown since that first time we stood outside parliament in prayerful reflection, and every week since, and we would like to invite you to join us in marking this special day.
The Vigil will be held in its usual spot, outside parliament, from 7.30 – 9.00am and we will be bringing cake and our faith leader puppets to join us in this celebration.
We warmly welcome all those that have stood with us in the last months, in rain and shine, and call on those that have not had the time to do so yet, to show our government that we are as determined – if not more so – in calling on them to reconsider their heedless pursuit of nuclear.
Nuclear is not the solution and as the recent International Renewable Energy Conference that was held in Cape Town has shown, is a foolhardy path to pursue when renewable energy in South Africa has such vast potential and is already bounding ahead. “God gave us sun and wind – best we use them”
