Mr. Ngonidzashe Edward is one of our Faith Leader Environment Advocacy Training regional group 2 (FLEAT 2) members based in Harare, Zimbabwe. His vast academic background includes Philosophy, Humanities, Theology and Climate Change and Sustainable Development. Ngoni has a passion for working with youth and has been involved with well-established youth organisations such as the Catholic Youth Network on Environmental Sustainability in Africa (CYNESA) and Global Catholic Climate Movement (GCCM).
As a catholic youth himself, one of Ngoni’s motivations came from the urgent call from Pope Frances to take action and protect and care for the Earth due to Global warming and Climate Change. When he released the publication Laudato si': "on care for our common home".
Ngoni always thinks of creative ways to get youth involved in new projects. He recently became involved with the initiative Tamba Africa Circus. He has a spe
cial interest in setting up and designing creative, social transformation, and leadership programs for young people in Africa.
He has worked with young people and grassroots communities, developing and directing programs in areas of HIV/AIDS, Comprehensive Sexual Education in Schools, Civic Education, Justice, and Peace, Social and Creative Entrepreneurship, Ecology and Environment.
We are very blessed to have Ngoni on our Regional FLEAT 2 programme and share his input and expertise.
