On 20th September, Wyndham Destinations and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts both published a strong global cage-free commitment online following a public campaign by the Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a coalition of 70 major animal protection organisations.
In these policies, Wyndham Destinations and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts commit to sourcing 100% cage-free eggs and egg products for every single one of their locations worldwide by 2025. They promise to provide annual progress reporting to ensure they meet their deadline and will translate their commitment and progress into multiple languages.
You can view the policies here: https://corporate.wyndhamhotels.com/our-social-responsibility-commitments/ and https://www.wyndhamdestinations.com/social-responsibility/environment-sustainability/our-sustainability-story
These two companies are major players in the hospitality industry with nearly 40 brands, thousands of locations, and a presence in over 100 countries. These cage-free commitments significantly reduces the suffering of millions of egg-laying hens and sets a global precedent that cages are no longer acceptable.
Thank you for taking action and advocating for animals. We could not have done it without your help!
